Job Title: GPAT Pharmacist
Job Summary:
A GPAT Pharmacist is a qualified professional who has cleared the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and is eligible for various roles in the pharmaceutical industry, research, academics, and government sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Development: Assist in research projects, formulation development, and clinical trials.
- Pharmaceutical Industry: Work in quality control, quality assurance, production, and regulatory affairs.
- Academics: Teach and assist in pharmacy colleges, conduct research, and develop curriculum.
- Government Sector: Work in drug control administration, pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, and policy-making.
- Clinical Pharmacy: Practice clinical pharmacy in hospitals, clinics, and community pharmacies.
- Pharmacovigilance: Monitor and report adverse drug reactions, conduct safety surveillance.
- Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, prepare and submit documents.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality systems, conduct audits, and ensure compliance.
- Pharmaceutical Marketing: Work in marketing, sales, and business development.
- Public Health: Contribute to health awareness programs, health education, and disease management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm or MPharm).
- Cleared the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT).
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying schedules.
Work Environment:
- Pharmaceutical industry, research institutions, academics, government sectors, hospitals, clinics, and community pharmacies.
- May involve working in a team environment with cross-functional teams.
- Varied schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Registered Pharmacist license.
- Certifications like CPI, RAC, or ACLS may be advantageous.
