Job Summary:

The Healthcare Manager (Pharmacy) oversees the operational and strategic aspects of pharmacy services within a healthcare setting. This role involves managing pharmacy staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing medication management, and improving patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Supervise pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
    • Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
    • Maintain accurate records and manage audits and inspections.
  • Medication Management:
    • Optimize medication use and safety through effective inventory management and therapeutic recommendations.
    • Implement and monitor medication-related protocols and procedures.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Manage the pharmacy budget, including cost control and resource allocation.
    • Analyze financial reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Patient Care and Services:
    • Enhance patient care by implementing programs and services that improve medication management and patient outcomes.
    • Collaborate with healthcare providers to address patient medication needs and concerns.
  • Quality Improvement:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
