This policy explains what personal information Depth of Biology collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to our website, our mobile application and any purchase you make from us.

1. What we collect

Details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and the course or semester you are studying, when you register, buy a course or contact us.
Payment information: payments are handled by Razorpay. Card numbers, UPI IDs and banking details are entered on Razorpay's systems and are not stored by us. We receive only the order amount, order ID and payment status.
Usage information: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address, collected through analytics tools.

2. Why we use it

To give you access to the courses and material you have paid for.
To send order confirmations, access details and support replies.
To tell you about new courses, updates and offers. You can opt out at any time.
To understand how our website and app are used, so we can improve them.
To meet our legal and tax obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business:

Razorpay, to process payments.
Our app and course platform, to deliver the material you have purchased.
Analytics and advertising platforms, such as Google and Meta, to measure how our website performs and to show relevant advertisements. Where data is shared for advertising, it is shared in hashed form.
Government or legal authorities, where we are required to do so by law.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our website uses cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics and the Meta pixel, to understand traffic and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work properly.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for as long as we need it to meet legal, accounting and tax requirements.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
You can ask us to delete your account and personal information, subject to any records we are legally required to keep.
You can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time.

Our courses are intended for students in higher education. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will remove it.
